Community Chats

At ICNZB, we’re all about connection, support, and belonging. That’s why we’ve created Community Chats – a relaxed, informal space where members can come together.

What to expect:

  • A friendly, open discussion – no set agenda
  • Ask questions, share experiences, or just listen in
  • Reduce professional isolation through genuine peer connection
  • Perfect for new members or those not ready for structured sessions

Why it’s different:

It’s not about presentations or training – it’s about people. Connection over content.

Roundtables

ICNZB roundtable discussions provide an opportunity for members to engage in meaningful conversations on key topics relevant to bookkeeping professionals. Each session features a panel of experienced ICNZB members who share their insights, practical experiences, and proven approaches related to the discussion theme.

The roundtables offer valuable perspectives and actionable strategies that participants can apply directly to their own bookkeeping practices or businesses. Whether exploring new ideas or refining existing strategies, attendees benefit from a supportive environment designed to foster learning, collaboration, and professional growth.

Each session includes an open discussion with panellists, allowing participants to ask questions, share challenges, and contribute to a collective exchange of knowledge that strengthens the bookkeeping community.

Do you have an idea for a Roundtable or want to participate? Please register your ideas by emailing support@icnzb.org.  If there is something you are interested in it, there will be other members interested too.

Special Interest Groups

ICNZB Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are based on your stage in the profession.  It provides members with an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and share insights with peers who face similar opportunities and challenges within their bookkeeping journey.  There are 4 SIG categories to be involved with:

  • Solo Bookkeepers
  • Managing a Small Team (1-2 Employees/Contractors)
  • Managing a Practice (3 - 4 Employees/Contractors)
  • Big Think Tank (5 + Employees/Contractors)

Facilitated by experienced ICNZB members, these groups meet quarterly to explore key topics, share practical experiences, and exchange ideas that strengthen both individual capability and collective knowledge relevant to the category.

Participation in a SIG requires members to register their commitment to attend and actively contribute to discussions. Attendance contributes to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.
