Membership and assessment fee policy

Memberships and testing fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. 

Membership and testing fees are stated on the Membership Overview page of our website.  All prices listed on this page are inclusive of GST. 

Membership fees

Fees for membership are paid in advance via credit card payment through our website.  An invoice/receipt will be emailed to your registered email address immediately following payment, together with an email confirming your membership registration.

The membership fees cover a period of 12 months and will run from the month of purchase until the 31 of the month in the next year.  For example, someone registering on 10 May 2021 will have an expiry date of 31 May 2022.

Access to member only material is granted instantly upon membership fees being paid. 

Assessment fees

Fees for testing are paid in advance through our website.  An invoice/receipt will be emailed to your registered email address immediately following booking. 

Following registration, you will receive an email directing you to the assessment platform and providing instructions for how to proceed.

Discretionary requests

In extenuating circumstances, ICNZB may consider a compassionate request for refund of membership fees only. 

Consideration of these requests is limited to medical or financial situations and may require evidence to support the refund request.  Under no circumstances will memberships be refunded on the basis of dissatisfaction with elements of the membership entitlements.

Refunds will only be issued up to a maximum of 50% of the fees paid and will solely be at ICNZB’s discretion. 

All requests must be submitted via email to info@icnzb.org.nz.

Any refund requests are considered by the Membership Sub-Committee at their monthly meeting.  You will be advised by return email the meeting date that your request will be considered, and advised the outcome as soon as practicable following the meeting.

Payments made by credit card will be refunded back to the card payment was received from through either PayPal or Stripe.  Only in instances where we receive written instruction from all parties involved can refunds be made to a bank account.  Payments made by bank deposit will be refunded back to the account nominated by the individual who made payment, and with documentary evidence of account number and name. 


Events policy

Registrations for events are subject to availability and full payment being made at time of registration. An invoice/receipt confirming your event registration is emailed to you immediately following payment.

Event tickets are non-transferable and only one attendee is valid per ticket purchased. The ICNZB booking system requires each individual to book a ticket in their own name.  This allows event organisers to keep track of attendee CPD and special dietary requirements.  Should you wish to book tickets on behalf of other individuals, please contact us at info@icnzb.org.nz so that we may set up an order for you to pay in one transaction.

Special dietary requirements are required to be entered at the time of booking to ensure that we can cater to your requests.  If you did not advise at the time of booking, you are able to let us know by emailing up to 14 days before the date of the event so we can adjust the booking on your behalf, your dietary requirements are not confirmed until a confirmation email has been received, please email: info@icnzb.org.nz.  

In the event you are no longer able to attend the event, you may cancel your registrations in writing to info@icnzb.org.nz.  Terms of refunds for cancellations are as follows:

Once a cancellation is received in writing, ICNZB shall refund your remaining fees, if any, within thirty (30) days of receipt of the cancellation notice.

Please note, that cancelling your event registration does not automatically cancel any other travel arrangements you have made (ie. hotel or travel). Individuals are responsible for cancelling their own hotel and travel reservations.

An official photographer has been engaged for the conference and will be identified with an event lanyard.  These photos are the sole property of ICNZB and we have the right to use them at our discretion.  If you do not wish to be photographed, please advise the photographer directly.

ICNZB strongly encourages delegates to investigate insurance that covers expenses incurred in the event of a cancellation (including loss of fees / deposits).  

ICNZB further reserves the right to change the format or cancel the event as a result of mandated requirements of ICNZB management, the venue where the event is taking place, the Government of New Zealand or any other jurisdiction in which the event is taking place, or any other relevant authority, in relation to a global pandemic, in each case without liability.

All guarantees, representations, conditions and warranties of any nature are expressly excluded. However, nothing in these terms limits, excludes or modifies or purports to do so, the guarantees as provided under the Privacy Act 1993 (as updated) and/or the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If these laws impose any inalienable consumer rights then to the extent of any inconsistency with these terms, these terms are to be read down to permit those rights.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ICNZB, its employees, agents and contractors will not be liable for personal injury or death, property damage, or any other loss (including without limitation, liability for negligence, breach of these terms or any other agreement), damage, cost or expense (including, without limitation, loss of profits, business interruption, loss of information, indirect, special, punitive or consequential loss or damage) arising out of or in connection with the Event. This includes and is not limited to any losses associated with cancellation costs relating to travel, flights, accommodation, should the Event be cancelled.

ICNZB shall not be considered in breach of these terms to the extent that performance of its obligations is prevented by an event of force majeure (including an act of war, industrial action, civil disturbance, adverse weather conditions, natural disaster, pandemic or other unforeseeable circumstances beyond ICNZB’s control).


Marketplace policy

For advertisers on the Marketplace

Listings on our Marketplace are for a minimum 12-month term referred to as the “advertising period”. The cost for advertising is $600 + GST per annum. 

The advertising period will be from the 1st of the month following sign up, to the last day of the 12 month following.  Listings will not become active on the site until payment is received.

Renewal invoices are sent on the 1 of the last month of advertising and will be payable within 7 days.  Any renewal invoices not settled by the end of the current advertising period will be removed from our website.

Requests for payment arrangements will be considered on request and will incur a 10% admin fee on each instalment.

In the event you wish to cancel your listing, 30 days written notice is required.  Refunds will only be issued up to a maximum of 50% of the fees paid and will solely be at ICNZB’s discretion.

ICB is not responsible for the content nor does it make any recommendations or provide any warranties whatsoever in respect of any practice, product or service.  Users of the Marketplace must satisfy themselves of the suitability and qualifications of the supplier and the product or service to be supplied before entering into any contract with a member's practice. 

The appearance on the Marketplace does not constitute an endorsement by ICNZB unless expressly stated otherwise.  Product information is based solely on material received from suppliers. ICNZB reserves the right to exclude any material submitted, and any decision to exclude material will be at the sole discretion of ICNZB.
